China Micro Semicon Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Cmsemicon), which focuses on the development of digital-analog mixed-signal chips and analog chips, announced the launch of a new generation of general-purpose microcontrollers, the high-capacity CMS8S589x of 8051 series. The new product is designed for all digital functions to be arbitrarily mapped to GPIOs, making hardware design easier, while providing rich communication interfaces for consumer electronics, industrial, energy storage, IoT and other applications.

The new CMS8S589x series uses the 1T 8051 core as the high-speed data processing engine, including the CMS8S5897, CMS8S5898, and CMS8S5899. The series has a wide operating voltage of 2.1V~5.5V and meets the industrial-grade operating temperature of -40~105 and high noise-immunity performance requirements. It supports 64KB Flash, 4KB XRAM, independent 4KB Data Flash and independent 16KB BOOT space, which enables it a high-capacity and high-performance general-purpose MCU.

The CMS8S589x series provides interfaces for analog or digital peripherals, up to 30 GPIOs, with all digital functions can be freely mapped to any GPIO, and all All GPIOs support AD channel, rising edge, falling edge, double edge interrupt, high resistance input, push-pull output, open-drain output and other modes, which helps to realize interconnection of different types of transmission methods.
