On August 28, 2021, Prof. Zeng Liang, Vice President of Harbin Institute of Technology and Changjiang Scholar, Prof. Xu Yong, Changjiang Scholar with Wu Xinyuan, Secretary of the Board of Cmsemicon, and Miao Xiaoyu, Vice General Manager and Technical Director of the company, jointly attended the inauguration ceremony of this lab.

The establishment of the lab is an exploration and practice of the two sides to strengthen the university-enterprise alliance and deepen the cooperation with regard to industry, academia and research. The lab consists of a number of young scholars and senior chip experts from the company. Meanwhile, take full use of the university's scientific research advantages in the field of basic algorithms and the company's industrialization experience, to carry out joint research and development and train high-level talents around new and efficient AI technologies for on-chip systems.

After the inauguration ceremony, leaders from both sides had an extensive and deep discussion. Mr. Wu Xinyuan, introduced the development status and strategic planning of the company and gave positive suggestions on the operation and construction of the lab. President Zeng Liang indicates the teaching concept of HIT and placed high hopes to the joint lab on the aspects of technical training, curriculum construction, internship training and science and technology interaction.

Mr. Zeng also pointed out that since the chip has been the solution to the current national bottleneck, and artificial intelligence chip is the direction of chip development in the new era, Cmsemicon with rich experience in the chip industry, together with HIT who has profound AI research capabilities will definitely make great achievements and contributions to the development of the country and the people's desire for better life!
