As a mixed-signal SoC innovator, CMSemicon recently has released its first 32-bit microcontroller with integrated RISC-V cores, the ANT32RV56xx, which is based on Nuclei System Technology's N100 series of ultra-low-power RISC-V processor cores. The series of chips are equipped with Nuclei System Technology's N100 series ultra-low-power RISC-V processor core, which integrates analog peripherals and simplifies design to easily meet the requirements of consumer electronics for high computing power and low power consumption.

As the core component of an embedded control system, a microcontroller requires high arithmetic power, power consumption and peripherals. Equipped with an RISC-V processor, ANT32RV56xx further achieves the perfect balance of performance, arithmetic power and power consumption, and can be widely applied to wireless charging, digital-to-analog hybrid and IoT applications with efficient performance and flexible compatibility.

The ANT32RV56xx is designed to reduce the number of components in the driver circuit with powerful peripherals and rich resources, in order to enhance system control efficiency with a more efficient design. In accordance with CMSemicon's mixed-signal SoC design concept, the ANT32RV56xx simplifies design by integrating rich peripherals into a single package with two built-in op amps and two comparators, and two programmable gain amplifiers that can replace off-chip op-amps and comparators for wireless charging decoding circuits.

ANT32RV56xx can provide effective protection when faced with abnormal system control conditions. The chip has two built-in low-speed and high-speed high-precision 12-bit ADCs, which can accurately collect voltage, current and temperature signals for system control in different application scenarios. The flexible configuration of upgraded PWM is suitable for half-bridge and full-bridge control, and the fast braking function can effectively protect the entire control system, which can significantly improve the systems performance and efficiency.

The ANT32RV56xx provides a complete solution for wireless charging transmitting with both high arithmetic power and low power consumption. The solution supports the latest QI standard protocol V1.2.4 and QC2.0 fast charging protocol, and is compatible with Apple 7.5W fast charging, Samsung 10W fast charging and 15W EPP fast charging. With power closed-loop control, flexible and efficient control, and sensitive foreign object detection (FOD) function, it can quickly improve the wireless charging speed of cell phones.

CMSemicon, as a member of the China RISC-V Alliance, has long been committed to building the RISC-V open ecology. To help accelerate developers' design deployment and promote easy debugging, CMSemicon has provided rich and complete development support for ANT32RV56xx.

Available in LQFP48 package type, the ANT32RV56xx with RISC-V processor will help developers achieve the perfect balance between power consumption and performance with unprecedented design flexibility and compatibility. Test samples of the new product are now available, and CMSemicon is expected to launch other members of the product family in 2021.
